Subject: Hello from Durham, England
Hi Bob & Rock Med, its Sam Suleman. I have been here in Durham, England taking
classes for the past few weeks. We spent one week in London and then have
been up here in the northeast of England, and I have been taking a classes
here for the last three weeks. Durham is an
incredibly beautiful city, with a 1000 year old Cathedral built upon the
river Wear which winds
through the city. On the weekends, we have visited some of the other
sites in the area including
Stratford-upon-avon; Edinburgh, Scotland; and Newcastle. Next weekend I
am going on a trip
through the Scottish Highlands (Braveheart country). I finish classes
on August 14th, and then
a friend and I am going to bum around Northern Europe for 12 days.

I attached a picture from the digital camera which I got just before I
left the States. It is from
Lindisfarne, an island off the Northeastern English coast at the ruins
of a 1100 year old monastery.
Please tell everybody at the shows I say hello. On my way out to Europe
I stopped through Chicago
to see Pearl Jam at the United Center, and from what I saw, one thing is
for sure: Nobody takes
care of and treats people the way Rock Med does, nobody even comes close.
If anybody (especially Barney) wants anything specific from Europe (Hard
Rock Cafe Stuff, European CD Singles, etc.) please tell them to email me at
ssuleman@scu.edu and I'll bring back the stuff when I get back on August 28. If possible, ask Raz if he
could add me to the Metallic SLA list. It will be great to get back to Rock med and
the shows at Shoreline and in The City. I can't wait to hear all the stories about the shows I
have missed, especially Hanson from which I hoped everybody survived.
