WORKING IN THE CLINIC

REQUIREMENTS/ELIGIBILITY

Rock Medicine actively encourages volunteers and healthcare students to expand their skills, but patient safety is our top priority. While this document lists several approved skills, the clinic supervisor, clinician, and or supervising RN may restrict Patient Care Assistants and students from performing certain skills at their discretion.

Once a volunteer has completed the requirements listed below, they may request the Patient Care Assistant Qualification on MainMed. Once they have the qualification, the volunteer will become eligible, but not guaranteed, to be placed in the clinic. To request clinic placement, they must indicate their preference when signing up for the event on MainMed in the designated space or note box.
